Roxanna is a parent of three children and one fur baby. Following the birth of her first child in January of 2009 she suffered from postpartum depression and struggled for months with nursing challenges. Her healing journey led her to discover the importance of the nursing relationship and the role of community in parenting. Roxanna became passionate about supporting families through the most important process of their lives: birth and the journey of becoming parents.
In 2009 Roxanna began to volunteer with a non-profit organisation called La Leche League supporting others to meet their nursing goals. She went on to become a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and in April of 2016 passed the exam to be an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Roxanna fell in love with the whole art and science of the breast/chest feeding relationship! Roxanna finds that her degree in Social Work compliments her LC work very well in supporting nursing families with the foundation that the parent is the expert on their own body and baby. Roxanna is passionate about giving parents the information and support they need to make the best choices for their nursing journey. She is so passionate about learning and the postpartum transition that she continues to expand her work and is now offering workshops to prepare your mind and body for sex after baby!
